CSA - Community Supported Agriculture!
It is a wonderful concept that we here at Wells Family Farms have
embraced with open arms. When you can include the consumer, as more
than just the person who is buying your product, you give them more reason
to purchase your items. As we become more educated about selling, we
are shown a whole new way to function! A lot of people want to be more
involved than just walking down the aisle and putting things in the basket.
With a CSA you get to actually go to the farm and take part in the process.
Weather you are helping to grow plants or animals you get to be a part!
Truly knowing where, what when and why the things done to our food happen
can go along way to being more comfortable with our purchases. When
you buy meat you want to know that it was treated in a human way. |
 |
| Not just as a baby but through out the entire life of the
animal. We here at Wells Family Farms treat all our animals, land
water and air with the respect it deserves. These things will be
counted on for many years to help support a great many lives. We need
to ensure that they are able to do their part so we can do ours. Join
us, become closer to nature, more healthy, more happy and much more content
with the lives we lead. |
| We are in the process of building our own CSA!
Granted it is small, but with dedication it will grow! For now here
are the details..... For a $30 dollar membership fee you will
receive 15% off your purchase price on any of our products.
Depending on your location you will also be eligible for home
delivery. Eventually it will be centered on the purchase of
shares and you will receove a certain amount per week. We are also
trying to hook up with produce vendors who already have a CSA in
place. Stay tuned for more information.
We still come to Kansas City on a regular basis to deliver to our
customers. Most Saturdays will find us ready to help you make a
wonderful choice for your next meal. We come in at 9am to 39th and
Genosee and we stay until 12 noon. Then from 1230 until 4 pm we are
at 63rd and Warnall. This is the location where the Brookside market
was during the summer. Any and all are welcome to join us during
these times to purchase, visit or gain information. The more
question you ask the more information you will have. We need to know
what it is we are buying and feeding to our families. Come on down,
see what we have to offer. |
